Local student studies Starry Stonewort treatment

Hello!  My name is Chandler Wells, and I am a senior at Kettle Moraine High School of Health Sciences.  Over the course of this year, I have been studying the starry stonewort, an invasive species found in several Wisconsin lakes including Lower Nemahbin Lake.  I conducted an experiment to study the efficacy of a 24-hour saltwater treatment against the survival of the starry stonewort.  A few months ago, I decided to make a video about my study and apply for the AT&T oxyGEN STEM Scholarship.  I created this video about the history of the species and how community efforts through the Clean Boats Clean Lakes program help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.  Please watch this informative video to learn more about the starry stonewort!
